Today we begin our private New Year Tour in Morocco and explore the best cultural places in Casablanca. Our visit to Casablanca will include a visit to the Hassan ll mosque and after lunch we will head to Meknes, former imperial city. Our private 7-Day New Year’s visit to Morocco continues by visiting the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Then you continue to Fès where you spend one night at the local Riad / hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Our private tour of the New Year’s desert in Morocco continues today with a guided tour to Fez and we discover Fez as we walk through the Medina. Fez is the oldest imperial city founded by Idriss II. Fez is also the center of the negation of Arab-Muslim culture. You can explore the Andalusian mosque, the famous tanneries, the Medersas, and we will also visit the new part of the city. We spend the night at the hotel / riad with dinner and breakfast.
Today, after breakfast, we head to Ifrane, called “the Switzerland of Morocco”. You continue towards Midelt and then you pass along the Ziz Valley to reach the town of Erfoud, very famous for its local fossil products. We continue our private tour of the Moroccan desert in Rissani to explore its souk. After that our trip ends in Merzouga where we stay in the desert hotel with dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast, we will explore the desert area of Merzouga by visiting the village of Khamia, famous for its musicians. We’ll have lunch with nomadic people living in the desert. We will prepare for a camel ride through the dunes. Once we reach the desert camp, we explore the desert region, dine at the campfire and enjoy the traditional Berber dinner. We spend the night in deserted tents.
Today, early in the morning, our camel guide will wake you to watch the sunrise in the Merzouga desert. After that, we take the camels back to the village. After the shower and breakfast in the riad, we will head towards Rissani, Tinghir, and we will reach the Todra gorges which are the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here we can hike in the Valley, and after lunch in the gorge we continue to the Dades Valley, where we can enjoy the sand castles and rock formations called “Monkey toes”. We stay in the Gorges of Dades in the local hotel with dinner and breakfast.
The tour of the Sahara desert continues and after breakfast we head towards Ouarzazate, passing the path of the thousand Kasbahs. We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna, which is the center of the valley of roses where we can visit the local cooperative for roses. Then we continue our private visit to Morocco via Ait Ben Haddou, the local kasbah was built by Et Hami El Glaoui in the 19th century. We cross the Tizi n’tichka pass at 2260m above the High Atlas Mountains. Then we continue to Marrakech where our tour ends.
Today we will have a guided tour of Marrakech. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city, including the famous Jamma el Fna square, the Kotubia mosque, the souks, palaces and museums. We also explore the new part of the city called Gueliz, the Menara and Marjolle Gardens. Then we drive you to Casablanca where our visit ends.
