We will pick you up at your hotel in Agadir and we will head to Marrakech. We explore the main attractions and spend the night in one of the local riads with dinner and breakfast.
We will meet you at your accommodation in Marrakech and start travelling to the Dades valley via the Tizi n’tichka and the High Atlas mountains. Today you will enjoy traveling through the dramatic pass and the view of the Berber villages and the changing landscape throughout the day. You will stop in Ourazate to visit the Kasbah Taourirt, one of the most beautiful casbahs in the region. You will have lunch at the Kasbah and continue towards the Dades gorge on the “Mille Kasbahs” road, which offers many opportunities for photos of nature and people. We will join Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley Of Roses, famous for its roses and its annual festival during the harvest of roses in May, then towards the Dades Valley where you can admire the rock formation called “The Five Fingers of the monkey”. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse.
After breakfast, you will leave the Dades valley towards Tinghir and the Todra valley. Enjoy the panoramic view of the old Berber villages overlooking the Valley. Go to the gorge and walk under the 300 m high red cliff, where many climbers come to practice their favorite sport. After an optional hike of one hour in the valley, your trip continues to Erfoud then to the village of Merzouga where your camel will wait for you. You will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before riding on a camel’s back, guided by an experienced camel maker, to explore the mysterious Sand Sea of the Erg-Chebbi. You will enjoy the beauty of the Sahara Desert and the sunset over the golden dunes. Then you can enjoy your dinner in front of the camp, where you will spend the night.
Your camel will wake you up early in the morning to watch what might be the best sunrise of your life. Then you will return to the desert of Merzouga. On the way, you will not fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular dunes of the Erg Chebbi, which evolve with light throughout the day. After breakfast and shower in the riad, you will begin a trip from the region. You will visit the village of the Gnawa people, originally slaves from Sudan, Mali and Senegal, to experience their music and lifestyle. After that, you leave for Rissani – once Sijilmassa-the foundation of the day of Alaouite, the current ruling family. With most veiled women, and hooded men, this is a very traditional Moroccan city. We will continue towards the spectacular Kasbah Tamnougalt and the village of Agdez, via Alnif and Tazzarin, before arriving to the fascinating Draa Valley on the edge of the Atlas Mountains, where are hundreds of Kasbahs Berber, then to Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night at a riad
After breakfast in your riad, you take the road to Marrakech via the high Atlas mountains. Your first stop will be at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Built by one of the last Berber leaders El Glaoui EtHami at the end of the 19th century, it is today a UNESCO heritage site, which still houses many members of the Glaoui family. Travelling through the Ounilla Valley to Kasbah Telouet, you will enjoy panoramic views and the picturesque lunar landscape with the contrast of the Berber villages and the Atlas Mountains. Today you will also visit the Kasbah Telouet, an area known for commercial caravans led by T-Hami El Glaoui ancestors at the end of the 19th century. Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas mountains, before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech where the tour ends.
