Departure from M’hamid in 4×4 around 2 pm for the dunes of Chigaga, 2 hours of track with stop at the sacred oasis.
Arrive at the grandes dunes to watch the sunset, and walk in a camel about 1h to go to the bivouac.
The New Year’s Eve takes place under a starry sky in the middle of the dunes around a large fire. A delicious traditional dinner will be served, including Moroccan Soup, a méchoui (whole sheep cooked in a special oven, smothered: festive specialty) couscous, and seasonal dessert, as well as tea, Moroccan pastries.
Evening with nomadic folklore, night in traditional bivouac in chigaga.
The next day after seeing the sun rise on the dunes and having breakfast you will return with a stop at the well before returning to M’hamid around eleven o’clock.
